1. What is Combo Adds?
Combo Adds is the first website that allows you to submit links to your profiles such as Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and join a public list where your photo is shown. Hundreds of users every day browse the list and click on your profiles to add you as a friend, follow you or just see who you are.
The purpose of the site is to connect people together, get music bands a chance to be heard, increase the popularity of a brand and generally increase traffic numbers to your websites.
Combo Adds works in a reciprocal way because by adding people you are rewarded with points. You can then use points to purchase VIP spots and get more visibility on the website.
Note: It is also called an "Adding" website because people "Add" each other on Myspace, etc.

2. Who are all those people on the front page?
The photos you see on the front page are the people that signed up on the website and joined what is called "The Train". The Train is a simple system that allows people to join a public line as the head of the pack, and move back when someone new joins. It's what gives everyone the opportunity to be seen and get clicked on.
The VIP List is a "preferred" line for people that paid for the Pass. It allows them to be always shown on top of the page, no matter which page you are on.
The Top Users list is for the rest of the free accounts and is sorted by who made the most points that day.

3. What's the deal with the points?
Points are the way you get rewarded by doing certain things. The main way to accumulate points is by adding other people from the VIP List and the Top Users List. Another way to gather points easily is by posting Combo Adds banners and sharing your referral code around the internet. Referral codes are special URLs reserved only for you that lets us know when someone visits the site because you told them.
When you are logged in, just click on the Share Page and follow the instructions. Start spreading the word and you will get points each time someone clicks on your banners and links, plus extra points if they register on the website.
Points do not just determine your position in the Top Daily Users, they also allow you to get a VIP Status for free. This is another great feature our website offers compared to other adding websites.

4. I put my E-Mail in, now what?
The first thing you must do is type in at least one of the profiles you have on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube or Yuwie. We will automatically grab your photo from those accounts and place it on the list. You can insert your Name or your ID, whichever you prefer. Once you insert your first profile, you are immediately inserted in the Train and people can start adding you.
Note: if you do not add any accounts, you do not join the train and cannot be found.

5. I was on the Top User List and now I'm not.
Every day we reset the "Today's Top Users" list to give a fair chance to everyone to get on top of that list. We reset the points you're earned daily at 3am PST (6am EST - New York Time). That does not include your overall points, you get to keep those and accumulate them until you can get a Free 1-Day VIP or just keep them to stay a Top User.

6. How do I change my photo?.
By default we choose the photo from the last Profile you've added on the site. If you'd like to change that, simply click on the Edit button on the "My Profile" tab underneath your picture on the sidebar, then click on the icon next to the profile you want to choose. If you recently uploaded a new photo and would like the change to reflect on your Combo Adds account, click on the same Edit button and press the green "Reload" icon next to your profile Name or ID.

7. Why are user photos colored differently?
You may have noticed photos have a colored frame around them. Their color varies from Grey to Yellow to Red and each color represents a "Status".
Grey frames represent the Regular Users, which is the status you start with and keep as long as you have less than 2000 points. It also means people that click on your photo get 10 points when they click on you, plus 5 points for each profile of yours they open.
Yellow frames represent the Top Users, meaning they have more than 2000 points and that their photos are worth 25 points per click, plus the usual 5 points for each of their profiles.
Red frames are the VIP Users. You can be get VIP Status by purchasing a VIP Pass or by accumulating 5000 points and using them torward a Free 1-Day VIP. Users get 50 points each time they click on you, plus the additional profile points.

8. I don't see my photo listed.
You may not see your photo listed because:
a) You haven't added any profiles to your account. If you have no profiles, you have no links to your websites, so you cannot be listed because there's nothing to click on.
b) You haven't made enough points today. If you are not a VIP, you are listed in the Today's Top Users. If other users made more points than you today you may be listed in other pages. Click on the "Next Page" button on the bottom of the page, you will see yourself eventually!
c) Because of the amount of traffic we get on the site, we must cache database queries. That means changes to your points and subsequent listings may take a couple of minutes to update. Check back later.

9. What are the icons under the photos?
The icons you see underneath the profile photos are the Profiles that were added by the user. Some users may have many profiles, some may only have 1. It is their decision to publish as many Profiles as they want.
Also, if you see some of these icons "Greyed out" it means that you are currently disabling that type of Profile. You can decide to Enable them by clicking on the Filters up on top of the page. The reason why we've created this is so that you can decide which Community Sites you're only interested in. Let's assume you only use Myspace and you don't care about other sites. Simply select only the Myspace icon up on top of the homepage and we will remember your choice throughout the website. We will never automatically open a site that is not Myspace unless you want to.

10. What about privacy?
We take privacy and security seriously. We never publish your e-mail or sell it to another company. We keep all your information in our private database and only use it for internal statistics in order to make our site better. You can feel safe with us.

11. I have another question.

12. I found a bug.
We are still a beta site, but we want to make sure there is nothing wrong happening at any time. Please e-mail us at info@comboadds.com letting us know what type of browser you use, on which page the bug occured and what time it did happen if you remember. We will do our best to fix it right away and if it's a legitimate issue we will credit you extra points for being such a good sport.
